Twenty Years After The Wall Came Down

November 9th, 1989 definitely changed the world! It was the day when the Berlin Wall came down and this will be celebrated in the German capital this year.

In fact, there is no other place that once used to stand for the divided Germany and now stands for the reunited country in the same way.

Within twenty years the former divided city of Berlin has developed into a European metropolis that attracts more and more tourists every year.

But what exactly made this development possible? And, are there still places in Berlin where its former division can be tracked?

From May to November red information boxes can be found at different places within the city and these will offer detailed information on the cityīs changing since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
